Due to the size of the island and the lack of contact with anyone on the mainland, people don't specialize in one single craft, but apprentice to multiple crafts. Because there are a limited number of craft positions available, you may be asked to select a different craft in either primary or secondary craft choice. If your persona is a dragonrider, that counts as the primary craft selection. Also, a journeyman in one craft will not be a journeyman in another unless they have spent a number of turns specifically studying each craft independently.
